Nickel Alert® 2 Pack
Nickel Test in any Metal Item
Nickel Alert® 2 Pack – Nickel Test Kit for Jewellery, Watches & Metal Items
Detect Nickel Before It Touches Your Skin
Protect your skin from unwanted nickel exposure with the Nickel Alert® 2 Pack, the trusted nickel testing solution recommended by dermatologists and allergists. This easy-to-use dimethylglyoxime (DMG) spot test quickly detects the presence of free nickel in jewellery, watches, eyeglass frames, belt buckles, jean studs, keys, zippers, coins, tools, and many other everyday metal objects.
If you suffer from nickel allergy, nickel dermatitis, contact dermatitis, or sensitive skin, Nickel Alert helps you identify items that may trigger an allergic reaction—before you wear or use them.
Each pack contains two ready-to-use bottles, with each bottle providing over 200 tests, making it an economical solution for ongoing nickel testing at home, work, or while travelling.
IMPORTANT: Stainless steel typically does not produce a positive result because most grades release little or no free nickel, even if nickel is present within the alloy.

Unlike traditional nickel test kits that require mixing chemicals, Nickel Alert® is pre-mixed and ready to use, ensuring reliable and consistent results every time.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does Nickel Alert® detect?
Nickel Alert® detects free nickel released from metal surfaces. It identifies nickel that may come into contact with your skin and potentially trigger allergic reactions in people with nickel sensitivity.
2. Can Nickel Alert® detect nickel in stainless steel?
Most stainless steel grades do not test positive because they release little or no free nickel. Even though stainless steel may contain nickel within its alloy, it is generally not released in amounts detectable by the test.
3. How accurate is Nickel Alert®?
Nickel Alert® detects nickel concentrations as low as 10 ppm, making it highly sensitive and suitable for identifying metals that may cause nickel allergy or allergic contact dermatitis.
4. Will Nickel Alert® damage my jewellery?
Nickel Alert® is safe for most untreated metal surfaces. However, it is recommended to first test a small hidden area on coated, lacquered, painted or antique finishes, as these may be affected.
5. How many tests can I perform with this 2-pack?
Each bottle provides over 200 tests, giving you more than 400 nickel tests in total, making the 2-pack an excellent value for regular testing of jewellery and everyday metal objects.
