Tubifast® 2-Way Stretch Bandage is a lightweight elasticated tubular bandage designed for wet wrapping, dry wrapping, dressing retention, skin covering and use as an undercast stockinette. Its unique two-way radial and longitudinal stretch technology provides comfortable support while allowing complete freedom of movement.

Step-by-Step: How to Apply Tubifast®

Step 1: Measure and Cut

Using scissors, cut the required length of Tubifast bandage based on the body area needing treatment.

You only need:

• Tubifast 2-Way Stretch Bandage
• Scissors
• Your hands

Step 2: Apply the Bandage

Stretch the cut piece of Tubifast gently over:

• Hands
• Arms
• Legs
• Feet
• Other affected areas

If covering an entire limb, simply pull or roll Tubifast on like a stocking.

Step 3: Secure and Adjust

Once applied, Tubifast provides:

• Light and even pressure
• Non-constricting support
• Comfortable wear
• Freedom of movement

For extra security:

• Apply in a double layer (especially around joints)

Using Tubifast for Wet Wrap Therapy

How Wet Wrapping Works:

Step 1: Apply an emollient such as Epaderm Ointment to affected skin.

Step 2: Apply a damp layer of Tubifast bandage over the treated area.

Step 3: Apply a second dry Tubifast layer over the damp layer.

The bandages come in different widths: red line (3.5 cm), green line (5 cm), blue line (7.5 cm), yellow line (10.75 cm), beige line (17.5 cm), and purple line (20 cm). As a guide: the blue line is for large limbs, child legs, and adult arms; the yellow line suits children's trunks, heads, and large adult limbs; and the purple line is for extra-large adult limbs and trunks. When in doubt, sizing up is recommended, especially for young children or those wearing nappies.

To prevent fraying in the washing machine, place the bandages inside a pillowcase before washing, and give them an extra rinse cycle to ensure all washing powder is removed.
