Use Within Wrapping
Wet wrapping is a therapy used in the treatment of atopic eczema, and involves the use of an emollient under retention bandaging. An emollient (such as Epaderm which is designed for use in wet wrapping) is applied to the affected skin, which is then covered with a damp layer of Tubifast Garment. Working together, the emollient and the damp layer keep the skin hydrated and moist, and help reduce inflammation2. The damp Tubifast Garment also acts as a retaining layer, ensuring that the emollient stays in contact with the skin. The damp layer also cools and soothes the skin and helps to reduce the itch2. A second, dry layer is then applied, which keeps the patient’s clothing dry and prevents further scratching from aggravating the skin and causing potential injury.
Dry wrapping is a similar process to wet wrapping. An emollient (such as Epaderm which is designed for use in dry wrapping) is applied to the affected skin, which is then covered with a single, dry layer of Tubifast Garment.
Fibre content: VISCOSE, NYLON and ELASTANE.

- Can be machine washed at 60 degrees (if using Epaderm or a similar emollient. The hot wash removes the emollient from the garment.) Can be tumble dried on low. It is best to use a delicates bag when washing and drying.
Tubifast garments and bandages are suppose to last for approximately 10-15 washes.
It is recommended that Tubifast Garments are sized according to dimension as well as age. See table below.

His bandage makes the whole wet wrap process a lot easier. Saves time in putting the bandage on, saves you from having to do arts and crafts with the scissors and tube bandages while your hands are covered in slimy emolient! It's a snug fit - you don't need to think about which size tube you need to cut next.
Same process when taking off. It's one whole piece hat you can just put in the wash and hang dry after.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because you can only use it 10-15 times before it starts to wear out. If you have a gild suffering from eczema you'd want a product that can last a few more washes.

I've bought this product twice to use when my son was 2 years old and when he is now 5. The product seems to have changed a bit and I must say it was better made when I got it for him when he was 2. However it still does the job of wet wrapping him easily.

My little boys (3 and 7) have had big eczema flare ups this winter and I have tried everything...cortisone, natutopathic creams, drops, oils, diet, change detergents, using a humidifier etc etc without much improvement. However wet wrapping with the vest and leggings has been made a HUGE difference in a few short days!
I wet wrapped with regular bandages before trying these garments and it worked but they disentegrated quickly and it was fiddly and my kids would tear them apart at night to scratch.
The garments make it easy. Took a couple of nights for ny 3 year old to cooperate but hes gotten used to them quickly. I would without reservation recommend these products!

I wish we had known about these products years ago. Miss 9 has tried numerous creams, ointments, steroidal creams, bath treatments, etc over the year with wet dressings using tea towels or bandages. Nothing has provided the instant and comforting relief that these garments have provided. Itching was reduced whilst wearing the garments and an instant improvement in skin condition once the garments were removed. Not-quite a miracle cure, but so close! Miss 9 is so relieved as are we as parents that we have found something that helps especially with flare up situations.

This and the leggings that go with them are really useful for helping my 4 year old's eczema. They are far easier to use than normal bandages. He likes them so much that he's continued to wear them even when his flare has abated, and we are happy with that as they prevent him from scratching while he's asleep.

My son has suffered from eczema from a baby and is now 13 yrs old. Having the vest has made wet wrapping so much easier when he has major flare ups (as he currently has) and layer a wet later with a dry layer has reduced the redness and flaking, stopped the majority of scratching and eased his eczema. Fantastic product.

V quick delivery with kind inclusion of eczema booklets. 3y.o son suffering from severe eruthrodermic eczema flare. This product kept him more comfortable, immediately reduced shedding, allowed skin to heal due to moisture retention and difficulty accessing skin to scratch, and most importantly, kept him home and out of hospital! I can't believe I have only just found these products and local medical professionals are unaware of them. Sleeves a little short. - size up if your child is 'between sizes'.
